Electa, excellence in urban strollers

For the creation of Electa, we set ourselves an ambitious challenge: to develop an extremely lightweight, compact, and maneuverable system that could perfectly adapt to urban and metropolitan environments.

Our mission was to create a stroller that offers maximum practicality and ease of use without compromising safety, sturdiness, and versatility. In this context, we worked closely with Inglesina’s in-house design team, with a key focus on the product’s design and aesthetics.

In addition, keeping firmly in the tradition of Inglesina, we have placed the well-being of the child at the center of every decision. Electa is not just a stroller, but a response to the need for a reliable companion for families on the go.

Functional design and comfort

The architecture of Electa has been designed to offer unprecedented practicality and comfort. The frame features an exclusive Inglesina-patented system that allows it to be opened and closed with one hand, providing stability when closed without the handle ever touching the ground.

Electa stands out for its incredible lightness and compactness when folded, allowing for easy transport up and down stairs and in and out of public transportation, without ever compromising the comfort of the child. Its maneuverability is made possible thanks to cutting-edge handling, allowing easy navigation through any corner of the city, even through narrow passages, thanks to its width of just 50 cm.

Electa does not sacrifice storage space for comfort. A wide, deep storage basket allows you to carry everything you need to tackle your adventures, while the reflective material profile makes evening walks safer.

In addition, Electa stands out for its incredible lightness and compactness when closed, occupying the size of a travel trolley and allowing easy transportation up and down stairs and on and off public transportation, without ever compromising the comfort of the child. With Electa, functional design blends with comfort, making every walk an enjoyable and effortless experience.

Electa is a system composed of a frame, bassinet, Standup, car seat, and stroller, a kit of products that can be combined to accompany parent and child from birth through the early years of this wonderful journey.

Each element has been conceived and designed with the intent to create linguistic uniformity, the possibility to explore different ‘collection themes,’ and in adherence to Inglesina’s quality standards.

Designing a stroller such as Electa is an extremely long and complex process, involving multiple skills, from technical design to pediatric consultation.

During development, we faced several design challenges, numerous prototypes were created, studied and tested, perfecting every detail and ensuring that the final product met the highest standards of safety and functionality.

Electa’s success is the result of deep company know-how and the collaboration of experienced and capable professionals.
