Initial challenge
The challenge Telcom set us was to give new life to the Modum brand. To satisfy this need, it was necessary to define a new brand positioning in the market and implement a total image restyling.
The goal was to create a new generation of products to communicate this change of direction and new values. From this process, the first Balcony collection was born: a line of outdoor products ideal for the terrace.
Technology
A careful and thorough analysis of the market allowed us to define the state of the art of rotational moulding technology.
We therefore chose the parameters by which Modum interprets this technology, defining values and characteristics by which Modum can distinguish itself from competitors.
Brand identity
(02)
New brand storytelling
Modum innovates with a first collection based on a new approach to design. Its improved identity comes from observing the relationships between space and the individual, where new needs emerge and manifest in different ways of living.
This leads to immersive and empathic objects, forms and solutions in which to recognize oneself.
We design space your way
Modum products arise from needs that are generated in the relationship between people and context
Listening to
Modum carefully observes what happens and tries to interpret it without setting limits.
So that there is nothing to understand, but much to “feel”
Modum is an accomplice in everyday living. The products are clear and immediate from both a practical and emotional perspective.
And the wonder of simple things remains
Modum products shape new solutions that are understandable and shared, whose greatest value is simplicity.
Visual identity
(03)
Modum does not have a single identity; it has many, one for each collection.
That’s why the graphic communication has been designed to be simple, direct, but above all adaptable to the various needs that Modum will encounter in the future.

Balcony Collection
Balcony transforms small spaces into places to live spontaneously and intimately, where each scene is unique and deeply personal. Shapes, contexts, and landscapes combine to create precious and unexpected atmospheres.
This furniture collection has been designed to use and enhance the qualities and usage contexts that only rotational molding can offer.
Balcony bench: the leading element
The Balcony bench is the centerpiece of the collection. To design it, we started from an element of nature, the pot holder, which makes the bench not only scenic but also functional as it can be disassembled.
The Balcony bench is born as a response to a shared need and becomes a symbol of connection and exchange, between interior and exterior, personal and public space. A comfortable place to sit and relax while enjoying the surroundings.
The complete collection
The lamp, coffee table and pouf complete the collection, creating a perfect corner of comfort. An intimate context, capable of opening up to sharing and sociality, in contact with the environment and nature.

We do not disown the past.
The new Balcony collection embodies all the new values and the brand’s new narrative, although Modum had a long list of products in its past catalog. We chose not to eliminate them completely, but rather to give them a new life, a different interpretation.
This product container is called Revival, and it encompasses selected Modum products from the past, whose styling and communication have been redefined.
Final considerations
(06)
The Modum project allowed us to implement an integrated approach, where identity, product and communication dialogue right from the start.
This project path is still ongoing, the result of an ongoing collaboration with Telcom, which leads us to constantly improve the brand, product and communication strategy.
