Initial challenge

This work done for Stiga represents a classic restyling project: some components of the future product were already in place, while the others needed to be redesigned, giving the product a new aesthetic.

The goal in this type of design intervention is to update the product stylistically, despite the presence of components from the previous generation.

This snow thrower has a powerful and reliable brushless motor powered by a dual-battery system, intelligently managed by Stiga ePower technology.

There are two powerful LED headlights, enabling work even in low light and limited visibility, while also giving the confidence that you will always be visible.

Snow is ejected through a chute whose direction and slope are user-adjustable.

Architecture and ergonomics

All these features are packed into a compact, friendly-looking body that is easy to carry thanks to the convenient handle in the center of the body.

All controls face the user, and are easily accessible. Since the product can be driven with one hand, some adjustments (such as chute direction) can be set during use.

The battery compartment is easily accessible and is always visible to the user who, through the transparent cover, always has the battery life under control.

The result of this design is a powerful and efficient snow thrower enclosed in a compact and reassuring body. The product is comfortable and ergonomic, with smart solutions both in battery management and in the ability to reduce the bulk of the entire product when stored.

Given that this is a restyling project, achieving a “new” product appearance despite partial intervention represents a successful outcome.
